How is AWC doing where you are? In Canada, AWC has been number 1 on amazon.ca for a very unusual length of time. It entered our official chart at number 4 two weeks ago, but went down to number 6 last week. I'm hoping it will rise higher given the posters and strategically placed CDs I have been seeing in local stores. But here's another question: Does it matter to you where AWC is on the charts? My own response is yes and no I'd love to see it reach the heights of ADWR in Canada - it was number one nation-wide for months, it was amazing. But if AWC cannot beat that, I still think it's an outstanding album.

OK...I will confess that I have no idea where one finds out this data. There must be a website somewhere which lists albums, sales, etc, but I'm clueless as to what and where it is.

I know - most people in the USA quote Billboard - which can be found by googling I assume; and there seem to be "official" charts in Europe. I know of no "official" chart in Canada, so am as out of it as you are.

Right now AWC is falling slightly, but still in the top ten in Canada. It debuted at 4, went down to 6, and is currently 9: jam.canoe.ca/Music/Charts/ALBUMS.htmlMeanwhile, at amazon.ca, it remains number 1 overall. What I cannot find are the actual sale numbers. It would be great it AWC went GOLD here.

It's amazing how well Enya's music is sold on Amazon, isn't it? In Germany, it's always higher in the Amazon-charts than in the normal German charts and this also seems to be the case in Canada and other countries. Do Enya-fans like buying online that much?

In Germany, it's always higher in the Amazon-charts than in the normal German charts and this also seems to be the case in Canada and other countries. Do Enya-fans like buying online that much? I think so, for two reasons: in Canada, people can live a long way from any music store, and winter in particular makes people unwilling to drive 200 km to buy a CD, so they go online Second reason: amazon.ca prices - they offered AWC for $9.99, the lowest price anywhere, and if you bought multiple copies the shipping was free Alas, their price has now gone up, but it is still lower than the price listed in record stores (at least where I am).

It's too bad there can't be a follow up commercial or radio spot pointing out that winter isn't over yet. The focus could be on the non christmas songs, pointing out that there are still great tracks to be heard any time of year.
