LOL. She looks so classy yet relaxed, so artistic too, a more French or Spanish feel to her sometimes than stereotypical Irish. Definitely classic Celtic, they were more artistic with darker hair I read than popular belief that they were big redheads. Don't want to get controversy started, just saying. I could always picture her 'fitting in' better in south France and parts of Spain with Galician Celts. Nope, that what a lot of Irish people look like. The Mediterranean look from the south of France and Spain, is dark brown hair, but also olive skin colour and brown to black eyes. The olive skin is genetic, not a tan. People with Eithne's complexion tend to either not noticeably tan, or go bright red like a beetroot and burn badly in the sun.

Yesterday I found these photos unintentionally. I don't remember seeing them before. The photographer's name is Tony Mott and it looks like it was taken in 1988 probably:

Good find, I haven't seen them before. I'd say judging from the syle of dress at 1988 or earlier.

Rumours of an Ikea flat-pack Manderely kit have yet to be substantiated.

Oh wow, I haven't seen the Clannad one in years. The overalls always crack me up--such a 1980s thing.

Nowadays that group photo could well be hashtagged with keywords such as #thedayinthecountryside or maybe #harvesthome ! What a find!

If my memory serves me right, this then is from the album booklet of Fuaim, a bit more formal posing rather than anything natural...

Slightly chubby, compared with later. There are times when she appears painfully thin.

I recall a conversation on Unity about that pic. And Dexys Midnight Runners was quickly brought into the discussion, LOL. There was another funny one with Enya in overalls also known sometimes as a kangaroo suit. Shadowfax99 called it Enya The Farmer!

But a rare fashion Faux pas. They are known as dungarees. Someone once desrcibed them as suspenders, which in the UK has a totally different meaning: a photo of Enya in suspenders would be highly popular, and equally as unlikely.

This is another photo of the era. Clannad on tour judging form the empty wine bottles.
