I'm going to try to see her in summer! I am extra excited that she said this tour is meant to fund her next album: with an Indian/Celtic theme! I would definitely put her with Enya as the greatest musicians of our age.

As Loreena's music is still pretty much unknown here in northern Europe (almost never played on radio stations which is a big pity), I really much hope she could do a concert also up north, so far all her European gigs have been in southern Europe or so...

Yes, even though she's Canadian, she rarely goes to the smaller Canadian cities. I will not be seeing her on the "Canadian Leg" of the tour.

Suvi I agree! I was hoping she'd do one or two here in Scandinavia, but no It's either a germanic or latin country! I think I might go to Spain to see her.

Suvi That's a pity, I've been to see her during the last tour in the Netherlands (twice even) and both gigs were AMAZEBALLS. A true experience. I hope she'll decide to venture farther north... maybe she needs to do an album with some Scandi roots as well someday.

I have a couple of her songs, but that's about as far as it goes. She's a bit too ethereal, high-pitched, and difficult to sing with for me.

Just got to read Loreena's current newsletter, which tells that she is contemplating to put her musical business on hold for an indefinite time. I guess she has worked very hard and therefore deserves a break.

WOW...didn't see that coming. OTOH, I found her last cd to be rather formulaic and more of what we've come to expect from her and few songs really stood out. So perhaps a break is indeed a good thing so she can be invigorated with new ideas.

Yes, I got her email about stepping away for a while. Sad, but recognizing that everyone needs a break from time to time.

I've read a new album was in the works... sounded more like a studio album though. She posted a few tidbits on her channel on Youtube AFAIK.
