I did, but really for the booklet I have to admit. I love the photography in it - various pics of Enya, all beautifully done. The notes on the songs were also very good, and much appreciated.

I'd love to have it, but I just cannot justify dropping $40-50 on a booklet.

I've got it,not only for the excellent pack, but also for the highly mastered tracks.I do not collect things from the first to the last item, but I may consider a few "must-have"...

Yes, it is beautiful, and it was not everyday that new and limited Enya items come here. I payed almost Us 150 on it, and only bought because I sold my old car that day ;D

This was my third most expensive Enya item. The second was The Lord of the Rings Box with the DVD Audio (about Us 180 - legal import, paid 3 x 60) and the first one my Japanese Box The Enya Collection with the Bag (at that time, 1996, about Us 210 - also legal import). Just few weeks ago I found the last of 8 OTTC to sell over here (a late stock, I think), about Us 100. Themes from Calmi Cuori Apassionatti was Us 60, and singles from US arround 25. Regular brazilian releases may be found from 8 to 15 new and 4 or 8 second hand. This make me thinks to have an International Credit Card to buy those for 1/3 price...

Wow! Those are high prices, eternity!
I bought the collection to get some songs that I didn't have at the time, but like BOD it's worth having for the presentation--the booklet, the velvet box, the screened cds. Worth getting at the right price.

I got this as a gift and I love it.
The liner notes are wonderful and the packaging is a luxury affair. I like some of the promotional shots of Enya but there are others which I dislike.
I often wonder why 'Once You Had Gold' never makes these collections?

I never thought of it. Once You Had Gold is a beautiful song and a great vocal. The maturity of her voice reminds me of songs like Sandman and Fallen Embers, from a later period than TMOT.
I wonder if its deemed to be too old-fashioned? It has the flavor of a song that might be played in the drawing room of a great house. I could see the song being used in a Merchant-Ivory film, for instance.

I only call this "The Collection" and it is my only version of all of the earlier albums I have - which means that I don't own all of the albums except A Day Without Rain and earlier.

Re: getting Enya stuff online:
One of the big problems with buying stuff on the net is the need for a credit card. There are many people, all over the world, who do not have credit cards. If the stuff they want is not in a local store, they may be up a creek without a paddle. The internet is great for me: I use amazon a lot; but, then, I have a credit card. I'm not sure there is a way around this problem.

As some of you may know, Once You Had Gold is one of my favourite Enya songs, and I have always felt it did not received much attention overall. I think it should have been included in OT:TC, and was disappointed when I found out it was not.

It is a problem, but I can't think of a way around it, either. Some areas of the world may not have enough Enya sales to warrant trying to stock all the items in a B&M store. The stores here, and there are a lot of Enya sales here I think, have never really stocked the cd singles.
You have to buy online, and you need a credit card.

I never did buy it, as I already had all the songs. I planned on buying it someday just for the lovely booklet, but still haven't gotten around to it.
