Journey of the Angels, is a beautiful title. Iβm so curious to what it sounds like, and where their journey is heading.. Hope their journey doesnβt end against my bedroom window. It makes such a mess.

I like that "no footsteps to be lost in snow" line. I don't like the key changes! It's very much a Christian-Christmas song, but I'm not much of an "angels" person, so the subject matter doesn't really appeal to me. The song is "okay"--I neither like nor dislike it, won't skip it but am not likely to seek it out, but perhaps it will grow on me.

It's a good song (like 4/5) but I am not as fond of it as I am of other songs. Maybe it's the key changes, I really don't know how to explain what it is about this that lowers my 5/5 rating for most of the other tracks.

I had tears in my eyes with this one. The melody and the lyrics are so beautiful. This is one of my favorites.

Well, the title fits the song -- it really gives me a feeling of angels flying nearby It also reminds me of The Celts era... those "mmbah" (or similar) voices make it, I believe. What a pretty, pretty song.

I do like this song but am forced to admit it's not on my "best of AWC" list - maybe all the tracks are so strong that even saying this may imply I "dislike" the song. I don't dislike it, but it does not speak to me as several other songs do.
Anyone else feel this way?

I agree. It's not my favorite either. I don't dislike it... not at all but it's just not the first one I would listen to if I had to choose.

I'm somewhat relieved not to be alone, kitkat.......I think this is a fine, even great album, no doubt about it. But this track simply doesn't seem to have the punch that others do. Yet it has a nice melody, so I don't skip it on playing, but I just look forward more eagerly to hearing the next track

I've been playing this song a lot lately, her vocals are so beautiful.

I like this song although I hate the wishy washy lyric. I hear a Karen Carpenter sound in Enya's vocal and like that very much.
What are the key changes that bother you Moe?

I've been thinking about this: The "chorus" makes in some places a kind of "baaah". (Don't have better words for that.)
My idea now was, that the "baaah" sounds like a sheep.
There is the Holy Lamb - a sheep, too.
I wonder whether that was intentional ... ?

I had tears in my eyes with this one. The melody and the lyrics are so beautiful. This is one of my favorites. I had that too, the first time I listened to the album. I was on my own, just back from the city where I bought it, put the cd on in my parents' cd player....gosh, did this song move me the first time. Hence I cannot say but that I Love it. I have never had tears in my eyes on an Enya song before, and althouhg (like Riene) I am not much of an "Angels" person, I just love the vocal sound of it. It's so gorgeous. But then, I'm a sucker for the entire album ;D Love, Phantas
