Well, most of us have had the CD long enough to have formed an opinion, so let us know what it is

I voted "Very good but not excellent" after listenning to all tracks.
My fav tracks are "Journey of the angels", "Dreams are more precious", "Stars and midnight blue" and of course "Oíche Chúin".
All in all a very fine cd that will certainly give me a lot of pleasure!

5/5. It's my second favorite album from her now.

"1: A terrible album overall" Don’t anyone dare to pick this answer, or you’ll have to deal with me!!! I’m only kidding, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, although I can’t imagine that someone who’s a member here would choose this answer, but then again, anything is possible.

I like the single the best TAWR...I do like the other songs as well, I am just a bit in a commercial mood I guess...

I really like it right now, but after Christmas I'm not sure how I'll feel about it.
One thing I am certain about is that this CD is going to fare better on the charts and in sales than Amarantine did - promotion, promotion, promotion.....

I'm loving it at the moment - but I agree with Moe's comment about longevity post-Christmas... I have been playing the album constantly for the past week - mostly when working at home - and it really has started me feeling all festive. Not sure how it's going to make me feel in the new year when I listen to it? Still absolutely love it though... LTBM, WIITWN and MMTF are my current faves!

I love it. It's one of her best, but I have little quibbles about the quality of her recorded voice.

My rate would depend on whether I think of it as a normal Enya album or a Christmas album by Enya. For me, it's a good Christmas themed album, but a bit over average Enya album.

That's a good point, Etukka - there are two ways to "evaluate" the album: How does it rate as a Christmas album by Enya How does it rate as simply an Enya album? I don't think we need to start a new poll, but it is a valid point

I love it. It's one of her best, but I have little quibbles about the quality of her recorded voice. Skyscape, I must say I have heard some quivers that seem to distract me in a few songs, I also have noticed that there seems to be some issues with the mastering depending on what you are using to play the CD... Hard to rank this CD compared with others...I would say wait 3 months and listen to other Enya CD and than you might get a better indicator where it ranks...

It seems as if it's rougher than before, less polished and pristine and Enya's voice less perfect.

Are we talking about a mastering problem here? I ask because another fan wrote me about this very subject elsewhere.

Moe, I think there are a couple of thoughts here that are being discussed...
One is a mastering issue, but that issue is really around you cannot master a CD for all systems...For instance AWC has a problem on my car and computer system...the piano distorts really bad at times??? The harmanonics are conflicting for some reason...just my systems....
I think also we are taking about personal preferences as well....For instance in AWC at 1:52 this harp sounding instrument that drops in plays 3 notes is not mixed well and takes me out of the flow of the song...I personally think the song could have been 30 second shorter...but what do I know
I think that Skyscape is exactly right, Enya's voice is a bit closer and less produced in some songs. This takes a bit a time to get use too...Stars and Midnight Blue is a good example the whispering vibrato and falsetto voice with heavy reverb and layering is different...I think we are just used to hearing Enya a certain way...
