Something weird that has been puzzling me the last couple of weeks or so. A couple of weeks ago I got bitten by something on the side of my thigh. I suspect it was probably a spider of some description - I live in Australia so it was bound to happen sooner or later. There is a series of the bites going up the side of my thigh, and I suspect the culprit was probably in my clothing. Although I was unaware I was being bitten at the time I was being bitten. I was half way through my shift at work one day and noticed my thigh was a bit itchy, but thought nothing of it, until I saw the bites when I had a shower that evening. At that point they just looked like regular itchy bites (like mozzie bites), except in the cold air after getting out of the shower they had gone a purple colour and looked more like bruises. That was almost two weeks ago, and the bites are still there, although the itching is finally subsiding now, and they have developed visible (yellowish) centres. Anyway, the weird part is that I had the bites on both thighs, in the same location - down the outside of the thigh. The bites on one thigh are significantly worse than those on the other thigh, and there is a clear progression in their size and severity, so I think it was the same critter - he bit his way up one leg and then somehow ended up on the other leg and had a go there too, but was running out of venom by then. Its not the bites themselves that are particularly weird (although they are different from the bites I usually get), but the symmetry of it is bizarre! Oh dear, hope they heal soon! Be careful, especially in Australia, there's all kinds of critters there. Just kidding but there is! Indeed wonder what it is. πΆ

Spider bits can be nasty. I try to always shake out clothing I haven't worn in a while, as we have brown recluse spiders here.

It could have been mosquitoes as well, trying to find a better vein for consuming blood ... I think.

I have an idea. What. Let's do a concert on the lake. Sounds good. Wait...ON the lake? Sure. You put your baby grand piano on a raft and we'll... NO. It'll be fun. Do you know what a piano costs? Or how heavy it is? I'll dress up in my medieval dress and paddle you around. C'mon, it'll be fun. NO.

A week ago I accitentally usec the wrong underground / tram train. It was on my way to work.
The electronic information panel showed : Line 5. My train. I stepped in. I was sitting down, closing my eyes, since still had almost 1/2 of an hour to go. It was early morning.
At one point I opened my eyes. With horror I read a station name I had not expected !!!
I instantly knew, however, what train that was, and remained seated, because a few stations ahead I could use another line to get back to my original line. In the end, I had missed only 10 minutes.
Explanation : The electronic information panel indeed showed the right number. But, what I hadn't expected, but knew that it was rarely happening, was, that another line was faster, pushed itself before my train, and that the information panel was updating only just in the moment the other trained was rolling into the station !
My mistake was, not to have had a last look on the panel ...

5 Steps (Finally!) to Get a Song out of Your Head 'Earworms' are notoriously difficult to banish. This may be the cure. Aestas! Look HERE...

I've read that earwig songs happen when your brain is bored, so i try to read or watch TV or do a sudoku or something to engage the grey matter.

What usually happens to me is the last one but by accident, the song gets replaced by another one, now thankfully they've all gone away, waiting for the next one.

That's pretty cool. I love this idea, the continuity of it, and that people sponsor a year of music for dates important to them. I do wonder how loud it is, though and what they do if maintenance is needed.
