Hey there.....! Time to do something creative. Why don't we think of an Enya song that we would like to see a video for and describe that video ? Or, if someone is that fancy, he/she could actually make a video and show it to us?
I'll stick to the first option and describe my eternal vision of Sumiregusa......
As the song intro begins, we see a sun rise above a mountaineous area, filled with trees. A lone bird of prey stretches its wings and flies over the land. As the song continues, the scenery beneath and behind the bird change - a cherry tree in full bloom, the daylight is changing colour, the appearance of a waterfall leading to a river.... The bird flies on. Japanese old-style buildings appear, as the bird follows the meandering river. Switch of scene where the "sprinkler" effect is in place - we see the bird from beneath, against the ever changing coloured sky, as if we look through the eyes of the people in the fields. [gong] It has turned to twilight/evening, and the sky is a pale rose colour. The sun is hugely soft yellow against it, and we see the bird now sitting upon a branch of a cherry tree. A woman comes walking up the mountain side, picking pebbles and throwing them away, picking a flower and smelling it. When the song ends, the woman reaches the cherry tree, and they mix glances. As the bird sweeps its wings, we turn to the woman - it is Enya, wearing a wonderful gown of pale pink and black, the trail of the dress flowing down the path. Enya smiles. Camera pulls back, leaving only the silhouette of Enya against the Sun. Fade to black.
Love, Phantas PS: (I've tried writing as the song is playing - it enhances the experience!) What do you think? Does it fit the song? Can you see it differently?

another one, as it seems this forum has gone quite quiet ... This time a video-ish thing for Oriel Window, the instrumental. The sun shines on a lonely window(oriel window) looking down upon a busy street. The room behind the window is dark, almost empty. Sheets hang over the furniture, quite Victorian, as if the people living there are moving or have moved. A lonely woman moves in the room, and as the sunlight shines down upon the wooden floorboards, we see her approach the window, looking down at the world. The woman is wearing a black robe/dress, also in Victorian style. She is a mature woman, with bits of grey in her hair, knotted back. Her gaze is pensive, mournful and full of melancholy. As the sun vanishes behind a cloud, the woman moves away from the window, and moves to the door. The moment she steps over the threshold into the hall, she vanishes without a trace.Thoughts: a ghost of a Victorian lady haunts this abandoned house. All the furniture is already long gone, but ghosts of it remain. The sheets hang over them because the woman and her family have already moved. However, her spirit remains here, because she has pleasant memories. The memories of the woman are caught by the instrumental, Oriel Window. Love, Phantas

Thanks Moe! I actually had something like this in the back of my mind when I hear Oriel Window, and just before I wrote this piece here I wrote a poem - which triggered a story behind it! Love, Phantas

Eh - I'd take a stab at this, but it would be too time consuming for me right now. I enjoy reading what others have to say though...keep posting!

There is nothing wrong with descriptions of videos from our imaginations. ;D However, to make a video that uses Enya's music and post it here is no more allowable than it would be at Unity. Sorry that I had not said that earlier - please continue posting your thoughts about "imaginary" Enya videos.

Either way, I don't make any videos so it doesn't have any effect on my contributions to this topic Love, Phantas
