How much time, on average, do you spend online? Do you think it's too much? Not enough?
I have managed to cut back quite a bit, focussing only on this site and on a FB group I admin. Reading my news feed on FB was taking up one heck of the day at one point, and there really is no need to "respond" to every post there.
I also check my email less often than I did a few years back.
Also, I'm probably one of very few folks here without a smartphone. All I use is a "Captain Kirk flip open" - it makes and receive calls, takes voice mail and texts. I check it maybe twice a week. I feel like a luddite on the matter of smartphones!

A great deal of my recreational reading is done online, as is my news sourcing. Banking, volunteering information, etc, is 100% online. The only place I see friends any more is online, and the same for most family.
It keeps me sane, I suspect.

I'm a long time Mod/Admin in a techical forum related with Pro audio equipements and further relative subjects (A.E.S.). I'm also part of another forum related with music and instruments, but I don't spend too much time online;only when necessary.
I manage most of our bills online through our banks pages,I use a Samsung A42 as my phone/agenda/whatever.I don't buy newspapers in papper format since a long time.I read almost everything online.
I don't spend too much time on Facebook neither further social networks; the only ekseption must be some online streaming music related sites, and further collaborations with friends a bit everywhere (musicians).

I really should cut back on my own internet usage, however, my mom is rather bad as well because she spends hours on just one app on her iPad: Facebook. I spend my time online in different sites in comparison.

Two years since my last post. I think I'm online far too much at this point, now that we've been home due to Covid and now that I'm retired, and there are days I absolutely loathe it.

I'm very often playing an online game, it is called "Dungeons & DRagons Online", I'm there playing together with a group I know for several years now from another forum, and we're having our "Friday Group". Which is a bit difficulty regarding time zones, as the "Froday Group" consists of 1 Australian, 1 from Sweden, 1 from Germany, the others from the USA. So, when we break up the group, it's between 4 and 5 in the morning in Germany. Which is why I often try to sleep bit before that (the group play begins one hour after midnight in local Germam time).

Since I was little I have had had access to a computer and the Internet - I also used to play on Microsoft Paint ๐จ I remember spending some long periods of time online at the computer since I was 8 years old. I still do spend too long at some sort of screen, with just a few breaks. If uninterrupted, I sometimes end up staying at a device (usually phone or laptop) for 3 hours or so. I also watch TV quite a bit, but on terrestrial/cable channels (so no streaming services). Sometime I like YouTube on TV - when home alone, usually listening to Enya It usually depends on the day for what I spend time online doing - usually browsing for interesting new information or nostalgic childhood things, a few quizzes, checking uni and other emails, YouTube sometimes, saving Pins on Pinterest - typing or tapping at something, haha. Also here in Marble Halls now I used to play more online games; I still play some if they work, but lots required Flash Player, which no longer works I use the Internet quite a bit, sometimes out of boredom, but I can go without it. I did recently go without WiFi connection working (and not overspending on mobile data) quite easily for a few days until it returned. Enya song files and offline games including Google Dino Jump did also come in handy My time spent online is similar before and after lockdown, but probably still increased. I got a phone just a few months before then. However, I use relatively little online time to directly communicate with people. TL;DR I spend time online quite a lot, even just now typing this..! ๐
I sometimes play games, sometimes find useful information. I like to discover about the past and read about the future, in a scientific but creative sort of way

( Don't worry if I don't answer over the weekend, as I plan to go on vacation over this weekend. )

I guess I'm quite often online, but I'm not always very active. During work I have my phone with me but only occasionally check. When off work I'm on my phone to pass the time from work to home and vice versa, but at home it can differ greatly.

Well, thank you for your reply ... This is not exactly what I was hoping for , since I don't play with my phone at all. But - regardless ... as long as it is fun, it is fine !
