We had some fine weather yesterday for St. Patrick's Day. We went to church where some marching bands played and then to the local parade. We visited a few of the local pubs to soak up the atmosphere!

Past year I wanted to go to and enjoy the parade and other events here, but I mistook the month (as a pretty old member of Unity I had been sure in my mind that it would be in April . Therefore I was decided not to miss it this year, only that I was unlucky again. I found no news about the presumed event, not even on the day before, neither on Internet nor even on the page of the Embassy of Ireland here, so I missed it again... in the case that it actually happened; but I think it didn't, because still nothing known about any now, a few days later. And it was such a great weather this year. Next year ?

Happy St Patrick's Day! 🍀 Although I don't do much to celebrate it, I do take note of the day. In the past year I have 'collected' various dark green accessories (handbag, beret, scarf, leather gloves, T-shirt, all from Primark/Penneys ) and the clover/shamrock keyring charms my sister got from Ireland 🍀🇮🇪I made this little clip featuring Enya's St Patrick Triad piece of course, and not long after was the Enya Tweet 😊🍀💚 I think as well as the fun events, it is good to remember the person the day is named after - this is a nice informative thread about St Patrick 💭

I had a mug of Irish Breakfast tea this morning, but that's about it.

Whereas I wore my green Donegal sweater, my green Donegal scarf and my DIY green beanie during my shopping trip, and listened to some Irish music as well after that at home...

Everything Irish is still popular here, as is St. Patrick's day. This might not be true for younger generations, though.
