Doing one of my occasional nose through Enyatv, the official Enya Youtube channel, I noticed that some of the videos have apparently been updated recently. Were the Eps for Wild Child and May It Be There before ?
The Humming video has apparently been updated, but I don't recall having actually watched it before. Have they added the wildlife shots recently or is just the ad at the end for the autotune idiot. And is it Warners or Aigle activity?
Thoughts.
p.s. The original Storms video is still MIA.

As been happening with other artists, the Only Time music video was replaced on YouTube with a high quality version. ( More about this)

Is the 4K actually new?

I saw the notice for this! I can't really tell the difference, but it was nice to see the video again.

I saw the notice for this! I can't really tell the difference, but it was nice to see the video again. You need a a 4K screen to really see a difference, 4K computer or TV and attached to a device that can desseminate it. How many people do their Youtube viewing on a Digital 4KTv and how many people are using their phones. According to Youtube, 90% people use a phone and only 1% use a TV or desktop.

I am old-fashioned; I like my desktop computer with its wide screen. However, it's been so long since I saw the original video that I can't tell about updates. Also old-fashioned but high tech here. I am a millennial. I don't like seeing people stuck to their smartphones a lot. Smartphones should be used for calling and messaging. I like a good music video or drone video playing either from a laptop or xbox (with the youtube app) through a hdmi cable to the biggest screen television in the house. HD, 1080P or 4K are all very nice... Nothing old fashioned abou desktops. If your doing tech heavy work only a Desktop has the grunt and ability to dissipate the resultant heat. Occasionally when I'm away from home I use a laptop and it's painfully slow and fiddly. It's likje cars, a Mini or Polo for nipping into town, but if you need to haul a ton of firewood up a 30 degree slope, you need a pickup.

It's wonderful to see Enya's social media pages active. Yet I keep wondering why we're getting treated with these 4K videos. π€ Why are they spending all that money in creating these makeovers?
Perhaps we won't be seeing an album release this year, but instead another box set of some sort, with hi-def videos...

I can always go look up videos online. Perhaps they are upgrading the videos before a new release, anticipating an influx of new viewers with better quality devices than we all had when they were first released. *crosses fingers*

I hope you're right, Riene.π€π» Nothing beats a new album.
Or perhaps a world tour is in the works... (Oh, who am I kidding!) π

They spent a tidy sum on a mixing console. Nicky said back when Unity closed they were refurbing the studio. I think new material is on the cards. I also think from a lot of the reactions to the "Christmas Album" suggest that no new material would be the full stop at the end of a career. Even Clannad had the wherewithal to do new material for their final tour album.

Now I'd like to know what's the reason they stopped π It's been remastered 5 vids: Only Time, Caribbean Blue, The Celts (oddly made), Anywhere Is, and Orinoco Flow. What about the rest? Are they less valuable?
