It's been remastered 5 vids: Only Time, Caribbean Blue, The Celts (oddly made), Anywhere Is, and Orinoco Flow. What about the rest? Are they less valuable? It could be something to do with the way that the videos were filmed (on film/tape) and that it has a better result than some that were probably digitally filmed in the mid 2000s. I noticed that lots of 1980s footage looks very good quality when adjusted. However, I think it would be nice to see 4K HD remastering for the rest of Enya's music videos too, hopefully they continue

I noticed that lots of 1980s footage looks very good quality when adjusted. Following that, they should have worked on Storms in Afrika and Evening Falls. Not sure of 'Shepherd Moons' Era videos cause they include some footage from the movies (which is sad because the "Exile" scenes featuring Enya are gorgeous!). On My Way Home seems like good material for remastering, too. Though yes, I don't know how exactly they edit the videos and if they have the original records. ๐ค

Following that, they should have worked on Storms in Afrika and Evening Falls. Not sure of 'Shepherd Moons' Era videos cause they include some footage from the movies (which is sad because the "Exile" scenes featuring Enya are gorgeous!). Perhaps they decided to choose more of the 'best of' songs with painting-based videos to remaster first. Storms in Africa and Evening Falls are also nice choices, even if the videos have slightly older green screen/effects. Even if they weren't in 4K, 1080p with 60fps might be suitable. Also that's a good point about the music videos featuring film footage (Exile/May It Be/Book of Days) but it should be permitted for these to be upscaled. For example, this video for this song's famous version by Whitney Houston features 1992 film footage, and was recently updated to 4K HD. I was also thinking that the video for On My Way Home would work well in 4K. There is an unofficial clearer 1080p version of I Want Tomorrow. Not sure if the effects would work well in 4K, but a HD video for Only If would also be quite interesting to see. Hopefully the HD updates for Enya's music videos can continue ๐ค๐ถ๐จ (Although they are not official, I have upscaled Wild Child and Trains and Winter Rains

The official YouTube channel for Enya (enyatv) very nearly has 1 million subscribers!
When the channel reaches this milestone, I wonder if a new video will be released to celebrate? ๐ถ๐บ๐ *Edit - maybe later on today 8th May 2022 - 1 million YouTube subscribers for Enya! ๐๐ถ

Having a look at that list, the artists are mostly young and mainstream pop/rap/K-pop which the typical young person (or say teens to under 35s) might go and watch/listen to on YT. (As a young person, I hardly listen to these 'top 10', maybe only Katy Perry from the list, and rarely at that). As well as genre, ageism's another factor, both amongst listeners and the music industry. Even Enya "raises an eyebrow at the thoughts of beginning her career in 2015" (quoted from this interview. ) Just looked for other solo artists with less than 1 million subs. These channels were created ยฑ 2 years of Enya's (2008, ranging from 2006-2010). Enya has more YouTube subscribers than Kate Bush, Kylie Minogue, Cher, Sinead O'Connor, Eric Clapton, Katrina Leskanich, Daniel Powter, Annie Lennox , James Morrison and Idina Menzel to name a few! ๐ That's quite impressive, considering that some are still releasing music and some began their career before Enya.

The only particular official YouTube update I noticed after the layout image changed in was that the Orinoco Flow 4K video, in addition to #Enya has the tags of #BossBaby and #BossBaby2. They are two fairly recent animated films (2017 and 2021) - I probably saw the first in full; I know that the second one has a bit of Orinoco Flow played in the trailer. โต I think the addition of the tags was a recent change, although that film was released last year - a bit funny to add the tags now, haha. The following are more linked to my own YouTube upscaled video uploads I was also thinking that the video for On My Way Home would work well in 4K. There is an unofficial 1080p version of I Want Tomorrow. Not sure if the effects would work well in 4K, but a HD video for Only If would also be quite interesting to see. Hopefully the HD updates for Enya's music videos can continue ๐ค๐ถ๐จ (Although they are not official, I have upscaled Wild Child and Trains and Winter Rains ) Since then (as well as the last 2 music videos mentioned above) I have attempted to upscale and have uploaded Only If, Amarantine and I Want Tomorrow (these linked two are unlisted and probably not as good, but still there anyway ) I have just upscaled the music video for On My Way Home - some of the HD upscaled frames look rather stunning ๐คฉ I will try and upload the video somehow before Christmas

Did anyone else notice recently that the thumbnail had changed for the main official upload for the On My Way Home video? This is the only one that had this minor change on the @enyatv YouTube channel, but it could be hinting at something better... ๐๐ช (This was the picture before, lower down, and as you may already know, I uploaded a 4K upscaled version for On My Way Home just before the New Year. Although I like doing these, I also wish for the official channel to get the rest of the Enya music videos in 4K too. Perhaps that is what might be happening soon...! ๐๐ช

I'm sure it means an album is imminent! LOL! I'm laughing because I recall someone (I won't name them!) seeing an equally tiny change on the YT channel and blowing it up to the point that he seemed to believe an album announcement was forthcoming. BTW, on this December 2022 archive of the page, there's a third different thumbnail for OMWH! Plus, the videos in the first row are in a different order! Link

Haha, I know it's a relatively small change, but bigger than the playlist updates and videos appearing in a different order. There is a 2nd video for most of the Enya music videos (I can't find it in that archive page but the other On My Way Home thumbnail is of the John Singer Sargent 'Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose' -type scene with the flowers and lanterns behind the girls. It's an interesting change, not a sign of the new album, haha, but perhaps a sign of an upcoming 4K HD update.
