Post away, post away, etc You should be able to copy-paste any earlier remarks on the new release here. The "Next Album" thread is reserved for NEW songs. I think there is also a thread for compilations on the board, but best we stay out of that and focus here on the Christmas release.

And now there is a contest to win three vinyls signed? And they spelled 'Shepherd Moons' 'Shepard Moons'? I am confused! It's great, but it's all so sudden and out of nowhere! Who is in charge of this? Haha. Attachments:

Who is in charge of this? Haha. But maybe the fact that they want us to follow Enya on Spotify is a good thing! A larger base for the new album, hm?

I've made a sticky for the link elsewhere, but will do it again here: Make Christmas come early! Follow the link for the chance to win exclusive signed copies of three of Enya's most loved albums on vinyl. A Day without Rain, Amarantine and Shepherd Moons by following Enya on Spotify. lnk.to/EnyaFollowToWin

This may be my fav part of that article:
"Solo artists with enough holiday songs in their catalogs can also release streaming-focused compilations of their own. Enya's Christmas Secrets is a prime example: On Dec. 6, the collection of her previously released holiday singles dropped on streaming platforms with virtually no promotion from her label, Rhino (through Warner Music U.K.) and no physical counterpart.
“We did some analysis on Enya’s catalog, and her streaming was fantastic, particularly in the U.S.,” says Kevin Gore, Warner Music Group’s president of global catalog, recorded music and arts music. “We came to an agreement to make it easier for the consumer to find [her] Christmas songs. We absolutely identified an opportunity.”

Apparently the same time as Warners in the West was releasing Christmas Secrets, Warners Japan released a new Youtube compilation. Thoughts that they may be trying to stir up interest prior to a new album have been voiced.

I was able to copy and paste the Billboard article into a document. If the mods don't mind, I could post the entire article here. It's not very long. No problem, go right ahead

There were diffrences on some services between old and new. In the end I put it down to Spotify and a few others rejigging their mastering process, rather than Aigle putting some effort in. At the moment the technology in AI mastering for upload seems to be moving at a noticeable pace. So when I was listening on some services with good speakers I could spot diffrences, but nothing huge in the end. I'm guessing Nicky is stil getting Earache for that shiny, but dusty, new mixing desk
