I'm not sure if this has been discussed here before, but while I was watching a fresh documentary from TG4's fabulous Sé Mo Laoch series on Altan's Máireadh Ní Mhaonaigh, I saw a glimpse of an old album cover on which Eithne's name was mentioned! I Googled around a bit and found out that it was an album titled " Ceol Aduaidh", released originally in 1983. Eithne seems to be a synthesizer player on the album, and it was produced by Nicky Ryan. Other musicians involving include Fintan McManus and Frankie Kennedy at least. I have never come across with this before, but has anyone else here heard any of the music on the album? Suvi

That's completely new to me! Great catch, Suvi! I'd be interested in hearing it, and am curious if she was merely doing background music or if this album had any new compositions.

I think Eithne is "only" one of the musicians there. According to Wikipedia, all tracks are traditionals arranged by Frankie Kennedy and Máiread Ní Mhaonaigh. Suvi PS. Another "blast from the past" is shown on THIS Sé Mo Laoch episode (on the bodhrán player Kevin Conneff of The Chieftains), as at around 32 mins 30 secs there is an old show clip featuring both Kevin and Moya!
