Very, very sad to hear that Sinéad O’ Connor has passed away. She was such a talented singer and songwriter. Brave and courageous and she said the things that needed to be said. She stood up for the voiceless and used her platform to always help others. She was ahead of her time by about 20 years. The grief in Ireland over her death is palpable. She was a ‘daughter of Ireland’ and probably the most important artist to ever emerge from Ireland. May Sinéad Rest in Peace.

May she rest in peace.

Does anyone know the circumstances surrounding Enya's contribution to Sinéad's track "Never Get Old"? I'm wondering how it came about. Perhaps those details are not known. I was surprised to learn that it happened in 1987 or so; I had thought it was the early 1990's. In any case, I was happy to see the Trio acknowledge Sinéad's untimely passing on the Twitter account.

Does anyone know the circumstances surrounding Enya's contribution to Sinéad's track "Never Get Old"? I'm wondering how it came about. Have you read this article before? web.archive.org/web/20211216001434/https:/enyabookofdays.com/articles/wm-5.htmThe relevant bit is where Enya said: "I'd spoken to her very briefly and she'd said what extract from the Bible she wanted read. It was very convenient just to record it in the studio here and to send it over, so it was only after her album was finished that we met Sinéad." 😊 Candace also shared this where Sinéad mentioned Enya (besides the haircut situations 😅) drive.google.com/file/d/1ALEHvqJ4YuQLjc-1-3EuFAuaVnkI49Zn/view?usp=sharingLast year I was following one of her Twitter accounts and found lots of thought-provoking, truthful things she discussed or shared. 💭 Also a few recent mentions by myself on YouTube regarding Sinéad O'Connor, and the wonderful person she was to so many. 🥲🤍🕊

Thanks for those links. I probably read that first article many moons ago but forgot the part about Sinéad. Good to know that the two of them did indeed meet, at least once!

She definitely didn’t get the credit at the time for what she was trying to do in relation to the church. She was vilified by the media. I think as time progressed people realised that she was right all along.

In any case, I was happy to see the Trio acknowledge Sinéad's untimely passing on the Twitter account. Same 😌 Never Get Old lyrics - Sinead O'Connor ft. EnyaElsewhere I posted Enya's spoken lyrics with the translation the day before this 💭 it was really nice to see that the trio revisited Eithne's spoken part for Sinéad in their message 🥲🤍 I think the trio will go further with their tribute to Sinéad, perhaps there'll be a song dedicated to her on a new Enya album 🎶💘
