Oh I remember watching that show! It was so exciting to realize that she was singing live!. I think I may have shouted, "She's live!" The short interview with Kelly & John afterward was humorous and friendly. "Do you clean your own castle?" <lol!> She took John O'Hurley's comments about the sensual style very very well. I feel like this performance and the live performance on Second Cup Cafe were practice runs for the performance at Rockefeller Center--to test singers, musicians, equipment, for that show. I'm glad we've got the link to this.

I remember this! She starts out rather shakily, not that I blame her as I'd be petrified to sing in front of an audience!--and then seems to relax about halfway through. The background singers look like mannequins, though, need a bit more makeup. I am assuming the musicians weren't actually playing--wonder how weird that was in the studio.
She looks so tiny next to that large man. Grrrr, I wish they wouldn't interrupt her constantly. Eithne seems to like a moment to pause, collect her thoughts, maybe check her English, and then speak.
What really struck me, watching this again, is that Enya looks like a lady. Next to her, Kelly looks like a Barbie doll.

Riene, I think the musicians are live. I agree with you regarding Enya's appearance and Kelly's. You'd think Kelly could find something more grownup to wear on a network tv show than a pair of jeans. It's not the evening news, but dress like an adult doing a real job, please!
The interview is very short, but I also wish she'd had more than a few seconds to answer. I suppose short and quick and funny is the R/K schtick though.
The major reason I like seeing her interviews with Pat Kenny is that he asks questions then allows his guest to answer. He's thoughtful--in both the type of questions he's asks and how he allows his guests to speak-- in a way that reminds me of Johnny Carson. The guest is the centerpiece of the interview, not himself.

I really need to move to a broadband area lol! Don't know very much about internet connections in Ireland, but do you have anything like a satellite-based system available, or maybe something available from a cable tv company?

Don't know very much about internet connections in Ireland, but do you have anything like a satellite-based system available, or maybe something available from a cable tv company? I can't speak for Ireland, but my problem is this: I can get high speed in the city without any problem, but I cannot get it at our summer cottage - I would have to set up a seperate (and costly) new account on a dial up basis, and as I already have dial up in the city I see no need to have two expensive internet accounts. As it is, I just take my pc to the cottage and change the dial up access number - no extra fees at all. If they ever get high speed in the woods of Cape Breton, I will switch

My dream is to see all of her performances all put on one DVD. I know...copyright problems and such. It's just a dream. Imagine it though?? Even though it would probably only be released in Kyrgyzstan, at least it would exist thus solving the lack of quicker internet ;D
Moe: You might think about looking into a satellite connection, as TC suggested prior.

Yeah, I've looked into satellite - same problem, easy here, not yet available at the cottage, so I would once again end up with 2 seperate internet accounts, and two seperate bills The dial up is sooo cheap, I pay just $20 Can $ a month for unlimited access, 24-7. And it's perfectly adequate for "most" functions.

I love this performance and interview even though Kelly gets on my nerves.lol I think Kelly dresses like a teenager.lol Lol...she gets on my nerves too. It is rare that I find her funny, and her voice makes my ears bleed. Two peoples voices that grate on my nerves: Kelly Ripa and Billy Mays. I can understand why she isn't always dressed up on that show, but having Enya on the show should be one of those times you think one would put on something a little nicer.
