There's a train, there's a winter rain. I imagine something along the line of IITR--not quite a ballad, but not terrifically up-tempo either. Since I regard IITR as Enya's version of a torch song, I'm anxious to hear this one.

Alas, we know nothing about any videos at the moment, but let's assume there will be one

Somehow I always imagine the video of On My Way Home when seeing this title. Besides I like old trains

I remember listening to the Amarantine debut on the radio. It's always a magical moment to hear a new song for the first time. Thank you for posting the info, Moe.

I hope it will also be available on enya.com. I've no hope to hear it on the radio stations in my city.

I believe you can listen the show/song afterwards. If I recall, it was the same with Amarantine when it was first aired on Wogan show. Just check 'listen again'

Dear All--there are various copies of an illegal clip of the upcoming single Trains and Winter Rains being posted on sites on the internet. None of them have been released by Aigle Music or Warner, and none of them are legal. Please do not post links to them or share any information about them.
Thanks,
Riene

The brief part of it that can be heard on the Warner promo clip at Unity is up tempo and very appealing

I heard it, woohoo! \o/ ;D It's sweet & soft, quite up-tempo and very wintery like. I heard bells and a choir - absolutely love the choir part in the beginning. Can't wait to hear the full album

I've listened to the song a few times now. It's good to hear Enya back on the radio again.
Perhaps my expectations of this new track were so high that reality was never going to live up to them, but depsite an engaging melody and some nice, punchy, rhythmic percussion there's not much new in Trains and Winter Rains despite a terribly bleak lyric.
Enya's voice sounds to be recorded differently; it's lighter, gauzier, breezier, thinner, further away....I felt that on hearing TAWR that Enya's voice lacked definiton on the track, as if all the busy instrumentation was competing with this little voice.
I like the chorus though and the choir of Enyas singing Agnus Dei is the best part of it all.
