I think 2010 will be a new retrospective and DVD looking back on 20 years of creativity.

LOL I'm feeling quite embarrassed about what I thought the 2010 reference was now... Now we'll all be up night after night wondering what that was.... LOL yeah right. "What's wrong? Can't sleep?" Moe: "I'm wondering what Michelle thought about a certain line in an Enya song." LOL Just kidding. Ok I'll just say it. My very first impression of that line was that she was singing it to her friend who passed away. You know how when someone passes away, some people say "well I'll get to see him/her hopefully again one day." I thought that was what she was doing with that line. Maybe we'll step out again...could be tomorrow or 2010 (you know, since we never know when we will actually pass) Yeah, I know. Silly...but it's what I originally thought. *goes to my corner*

Thanks, Michelle, I can now sleep again And it's really not silly, it is another way of looking at it, so come out of that dang corner and dust the lounge.

Today I went to a local shopping center and instead of the usual Xmas melodies they put "My!My!Time Flies!" I was expecting a surprise,but... ...it was just one Enya song within a selection.I wish it was the whole cd,but... Ahrod B.

Our Walmart had MMTF playing the other day. It took me just a second to realize what it was & then I just stopped and listened. My youngest said, "Hey mom, ain't that Enya?" ;D Today I went to a local shopping center and instead of the usual Xmas melodies they put "My!My!Time Flies!" 1812 - someone wrote a symphony -- lyric
Decided to track this down and it was most likely's Beethoven's 8 Symphony that is alluded to here.
Anyone know of other candidates?

I'd never really thought about it--just assumed it was the 1812 Overture, but of course that wouldn't have been written in 1812. Typical Roma--playing with the words and making us think! ;D

I tried it via Wikipedia. 1812 is there, but there's so much happening I couldn't find a clue. Edit : It seems to me now that I should've used the English version of Wikipedia, which is a bit better. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1812_in_music

This is not one of my favourites. I don't like the fak hand-clapping drum sound in the background and feel that Enya missed an opportunity to sing a lyric in the chorus as opposed to the generic "dah, dah de-dah"...
I also find her diction rather too polite for a pop song in this direction.
