When I google Enya.com it no longer brings up reference to Enya.com, but a series Enya related material. The top of the page for me is the usual shopping ads, 50% were for Enya named underwear. Clearly pirate merchandise, because you'd freeze in them anywhere but the Carribean. I noticed you'd suggested the link to Damian, but hadn't spotted that anyhting had happened till Phill's latest FB post. Wow, I'd never thought of googling Enya.com to reach it. But when I did, I saw the ads you mentioned. And an ad for the DSI CD, available from Walmart for $25.32. If I want to go to a website, I simply type the URL into the address bar on the browser. Why turn accessing a site into a multi-step process? Or were you searching for information about Enya.com? Perhaps the pirate/Carribean comment was a joke. If it wasn't...our Enya doesn't hold a TM in every product class, so you can find a variety of services and items under the Enya name, all perfectly legal. I posted about the redirect in this thread on December 9. And in the Members of Unity FB group on December 13. You're not keeping up! I Google everything, I even go to page 2 at times . In this case, because the Web address was not Enya.com; I wanted to see more info, hence the Google. One of the effects of the change is that the Google algorithm has reformated it page. I never used to get ads with the Enya.com search in the recent past. I feel disappointed that, now, when I search for Enya.com, the first thing I see is a pair of tacky womens knickers.
I read the post that you has suggested the redirect, not that it had been done.
Your 13th December, is my 14th December because you live in the past. However I do finding keeping up with the frantic events in the Enyaverse difficult, because so much is happening all of the time.
Pirate comment was deathly serious, because I never joke.

So, just finished some research about enya.com. One could pay to get a historical whois but It doesn't make a difference on the conclusion. From 97 to 04 the copyright for the site was property of Warner. Then for 2004 with the Sumiregusa "trouble" the copyright was transferred to Aigle. The years passed and the web was adapted to whatever needed promotion. Then... For DSI the site got a complete change, with links to all social media and streaming platforms. And if you click in "ABOUT" this shows up... Then one needs to click to "Terms & Conditions" to see the change It's clear that for DSI the copyright for the site went back to Warner. In fact, if one goes to Ed Sheeran's website the "Terms and Conditions" are exactly the same. My conclusion, Warner didn't bother to keep running the web. That's why they closed Unity first. In fact, Roma did sound unhappy about it on the farrewell note and has refered to the Unity members in the watch parties notes. And then the domain was left to expire. Despite that Aigle hasn't bothered to keep running the website after Warner's desertion. In fact if one re-reads Enya's and Nicky's notes now, they sound very much like a "Goodbye we are off". They certainly sound "stronger" than Nicky's message on the 2021 SM watch party.

Warner would have owned the DSI artwork. However I believe the Trio were named as the owner of the sites of Unity and Enya.com.

I have found something interesting but I might need you to help me understand When unity closed the website the "header" was "Unity is now closed". Ok then if you google "Unity is now closed" you will get a result: Then you get the Unity closure messages and the message from Roma redirects to valley dwellers. What's 46.22.136.122? Let's check what other domains are registered to this ip... Lots of addresses from Aigle, these for sure are not paid and maintained by Warner. What the hell is haswed.com, Has wed? Has wed= Has married? Who? Let's check haswed.com Hmmm, Irish servers, created on 2017, after DSI and it seems they keep paying for the domain. In fact they keep paying for all those domains listed before. So why they left nickyryan.com? And why they left enya.com? Who owns it? I tried to contact the owner but no reply. Also, I wrote a DM to Enya's FB profile to ask the removal of the enya.com address in their profile since "in theory" they don't own it anymore, but no action.

I have to admit that something is bothering me about this screenshot, which I used in my post above: 2020_05_24_EnyaDotCom_ICANN_WhoIs_DomainRenewed_StillRomaAndEithne by Candace66, on Flickr A close look reveals that, when this screenshot was made, the domain registration was due to expire on May 26, 2022. Domain registrations expire annually. So it seems this screenshot "should" have been made in late May 2021, after the registration had been renewed for another year. (Often, domains are renewed a few days before the expiration date, and the Whois database is updated accordingly.) However, all the file attributes (not just the file name) are telling me the screenshot was created on May 24, 2020. A genuine mystery! Or perhaps I am overlooking something obvious? I need another sleuth to help me sort this out! No mystery. Go Daddy sometimes gives you a discount if you sign up for more than a year at a time. Just to give you an idea of the level of commitment here a domain costs about $20 a year to maintain.

Does anyone think that they might be creating something 'better' than a website or standard social media as another way to communicate with fans? I mentioned the possibility of an app at some point. Rather than multiple websites, that might even be a good way to relaunch the Loxian Games or something similar ๐ก

All of the domains registered on the 46.22.136.122 ip will expire in 2023, let's wait and see if one by one they are renewed or not. That would be very telling.
The first one on the line is romaryan.com it will expire the 28th of June, someone set an alarm! :-)
enyamusic.com which is owned by Warner will expire too in 2023. Curious to see if that gets renewed as well. It gets renewed because Warner hopes it will be needed? Or this domain gets bundled up with other domains of Warner and gets renewed in bulk?
Possibly enya.com (like nickyryan.net) is property of Aigle and that's why it was let go and enyamusic.com being property of Warner gets renewed.
Thoughts?

I don't know when it happened but enya.com and enyamusic.com are both now redirecting to an Enya website produced in Wix. The homepage is rather messy looking but overall the site looks like a fairly comprehensive effort in terms of the information being offered. Curiously, the "albums" page has an empty square at the bottom with "Coming Soon 2023" next to it!

It is no longer owned by Aigle or Warner. December last year the owner of the name Enya.com set the page to direct to a fan site run by Phill Callaghan.

*Not official though, looking more like 2024 but it was a fun tease
