I don't believe Box of Dreams contains any track I do not already have - so, is it worth getting anyway? Do the graphics, etc, make it a "must buy" ?

Is that the long purple box or the smaller blue box?

I think it's the smaller blue box - the long purple one should be Only Time: The Collection

Kerry, if it's only the music you care about, ABOD is probably not worth getting. However the dark blue box and silver embossed lettering are very pretty. The booklet that comes with the set is about ... 50 pages? (I'll do a count if you need an exact one) and the artwork and calligraphy are beautiful. I also like the order of the music on the three cds. They are thematically arranged -- the hits, the piano pieces, the mystic/atmospheric pieces. If you want to write, then Clouds, the piano pieces, is an excellent choice. Oceans, the hits, is great for an upbeat mood or driving. It's best not to listen to Stars, the mystic stuff, if you're feeling down. It's a very oddball downbeat cd, but also a well selected set of music. I feel like the music on these three cds is better selected and organized than on OT:TC, because they are selected and arranged by themes. I'm glad to have it in my collection, and I found it on eBay for a very reasonable price.

I don't have big bucks to spend on it, but it sounds worthwhile. Thanks!

Watch eBay carefully. Keep track of it via Amazon re-sellers or half.com. Maybe suggest it to someone as a birthday or Christmas gift?
Taiwan also issued the 3 cds without the book or box. The slip cases are pretty (gold embellishments). The sets seem to go for $20 or less on eBay. OTOH, you don't get that nice box or the booklet...
I forgot to mention. The discs themselves are printed (like the OT:TC cds) -- the Orinoco Flow ship them on Oceans, and other designs for Clouds & Stars. They're shell pink or ivory looking. Definitely not your plain old silver cds.

Yes, I'd purchased OT:TC myself but my brother bought me ABOD for a Christmas present .... I think it cost around the Β£23 mark, so very reasonable.
I read the thread before making this answer, and I fully agree with Treecat: if it's just the music you're after, then it's probably not worth it but if it's the artwork and collector's item value, then it's a must-buy.
Personally, I prefer OT:TC over ABOD, and don't forget that there is a video of OΓche ChiΓΊn (Silent Night) at the end of CD4 on OT:TC wheras ABOD is just three music CDs.
As for the booklet, it's 48 pages long and there is an inset, a loose page, giving a summary of the track listing for each CD.

I wouldn't mind having the booklets in either box, but I don't really need more CDs. I wish the information was online somewhere.

I have got images for the ABOD pages, and plan to put those online at Book of Days. It's part of the redesign of the site. I don't have images for the pages of OT:TC. I've got the set, but am hesitant about slapping it into the scanner. If anyone has done so and can pass me their jpgs, I'll be glad to use them and credit the provider.

Hate to throw a spanner in the works here, but where does that stand from a copyright point of view?

How does most of anything on any Enya website .. or Moya or Clannad website for that matter .. or any other celebrity website.. stand copyright-wise?
The ABOD images were on the old Magic & Melody site for several years. Book of Days is a reprise of Magic & Melody with my own material tossed into the pot. Photos from the OT:TC booklet are all over the place. Aigle has standards about how images and material are handled, and I try to follow them. When in doubt, I contact one of the mods--Kerry or Nigel.

The question of copyright is ever (de)pressing The photos from OT:TC have appeared on so many Enya fora that I doubt posting them is something Aigle is going to get upset about. Moreover, Enya fan sites are full of "galleries" where all sorts of photos are shown. I suggest that, when posting such a picture, just credit the photographer briefly.

From what I'm aware, using a limited amount of material for research purposes is fine provided the source is cited.
One trick I've used is to ensure I give the credit where it's due, and also add a smallprint disclaimer along the lines of, "As far as I am aware, my use of these images is legal, but if this is not the case AND you are the copyright owner, please contact me and I shall either remove them or make an otherwise suitable amendment."
That probably doesn't hold a lot of water in law, but it does show willing.

Angoid, I have a degree in journalism and I've worked in public relations for 13 years, I've owned my own business for the past 15 years, and I do volunteer work for charitable organizations in a public relations capacity. So, I'm aware of fair use for copyright materials. Material is credited to the sources on my website, as they were on Tomas' Magic & Melody. When I've obtained new material, I've credited that as well. I've also given proper credit to those that have provided original material to me.
It does not make everything perfect, but it's a try in the right direction.
Copyright is something I've been dealing with for a long time. I know fair use, I know what the pitfalls are. Thanks for your interest.

Getting back on topic here, I stilll wish that enya.com had an archive of the booklets, inserts, Roma's puzzles and notes, that the books in the library were filled in. For the average fan, for whom these things are inaccessible or far beyond affordability, it would be a wonderful resource.
