Ah, there you see, the Loxian doesn't bother me in that way. I 'skate' past it as if it were a form of Gaelic. I'm not conversant enough in any other language to translate a song lyric into English as I listen to it. I like some Mozart opera, but I follow the songs by the fact that I know the story and love the music. That's the way I treat Loxian--melodic, passionate sounds, to a melodic, passionate melody. However, I do feel that if she doesn't bring Gaelic back on the next studio album, she may have to enroll in a Gaelic course in Donegal to refresh herself on the language.

I understand Reine's discomfort with Loxian and I agree with a lot of what she's saying.
I guess I find it difficult to see the logic in an artificial language.
I also think Enya should not underestimate the ambassadorial role she plays with regard to the Irish language and by using Gaelic on her albums she keeps the language on the global agenda....I'm not asking her to be a language activist, just to do what probably comes naturally...

I don't mind the Loxian language...but I will admit it does seem kind of odd to hear Eithne talk about it in interviews Sky, those lyrics are wonderful!

I'd also like you to look at Less than a Pearl, too. Sitting here patiently waiting for TRS.

I wish someone would have warned me that there was barbed wire and thorns...and a moat on the other side of the castle walls! *brushes off dirt and blood and tries to dry off*

Now just a minute! I thought when one hosted the tea, one provided the treats for one's guests!
I shall expect the silver tea service out, the Battenburg lace tablecloth, the finest, thinnest bone china cups, salvers of tiny crustless sandwiches, scones wtih homemade jam and clotted cream (which isn't available at all in the States), fruit tarts, and little iced cakes. I like my tea black, hot, and strong, please, with milk and sugar.
5:30, you say? We'll be there. Please call off the guard dogs.

Tonight I was driving back from a friend's house and IITR was playing and as I left the lyrics float into my ear and noticed a striking similarity between IITR and Wild Child:
Wild Child: "Ever close your eyes, ever stop and listen"
IITR: "Every time the rains comes down, close my eyes and listen"
I often wonder what it would be like if Enya wrote the lyrics for her own music...

I hope Sky runs a pet-friendly place. I'll be wanting to bring 3 cats with me. They like cream btw.
Little crustless sandwiches--so nice, and hot tea, too. But--could we have a slightly alcoholic aperitif perhaps? ;D
