That must be "20 best songs" IF there are 20 songs this is going to cost 20.00 dollars U.S. I bet... I bet they take 2 from each CD...I have been listening to all the chatter about this around the net...I still a bit miffed why Japan always has to lead in the communications...Anyway, nice to see the trio working on something... Japan always gets the love with special editions, promos and live appearances! America needs love too! Peter Jackson said they're still working on the script last I heard. But an Enya song in the hobbit, wouldn't that be neat... Though I'd imagine it would be a lot more cheerful/adventurous than May it be & Aniron.

I agee that we would like to see and hear more of Enya here...alot more love ;D I must send Peter a message and remind him of the wonderful music Enya provided in LOTR...Well there are some very dark scenes in the "Hobbit", but I think Enya would be good at doing the title song and yes that would be better ligth and airy! ;D

The announcement of the cd-dvd has raised my interest in the best of about 500 percent. I was glad to hear about it because it might mean one or two new songs, but the dvd adds to the WOW factor. ;D

You have to wonder who is driving here...I think this must be that the Warner division in Japan is just more interested in the promotion and support for Enya versus North America... There is so much about the music industry that I need to learn about, there has to be a business reason for the starting point of Enya seems to thru the AP region?

My pc allows me to switch from region 1 to another region but only 5 times before it "fixes" the region of the DVD player. This is an easy problem to solve. Honestly, the Japan disc is a non-issue, except for the additional cost and the cost of shipping from Tokyo. 1. Buy an external dvd player for your computer and set it to Region 2. I would guess these are about $30.00. check www.newegg.com. 2. Even better: buy a multi-region/multi-format dvd player. Get a Cyberhome off of eBay, or buy a new one for well under $100.00. B&H Photo in New York carries several good ones. Watch the dvd on your tv and not the pc monitor. Or google-search 'region free multiformat dvds' and look for other online vendors. 3. Make a copy of the dvd and set it to Region 0. This might sound complicated, but it's not and it doesn't involve spending a single dime beyond the cost of the dvd. What's good about this: you're using a copy of the dvd while the original sits safely in the case. The best scenario will find the special edition available all over the world. But if it's Japan-only, the region coding is not the issue everyone's making it out to be--if you're willing to buy the Japan set in the first place. Beckett--I agree. I think Warner Japan is much more friendly to Enya than Warner US.

Well, another suggestions for those who are having troubles with DVDs from another regions, there is a little PC program called "DVD43" that after installed and rebooted the PC, allows to watch DVDs from any region without change the PBC (that one that will change 5 times after fixing a region). It is freeware and I don't think that are illegalities on this, as this tool is just for removing codes and protections "on the fly" (during analogue playback), not recording or recoding. It has worked to playback my "Artist Legend" DVD from Japan. I think that it will work even when the PBC is already fixed. Hope it helps. You can also browse internet for codes to type in remote control of your DVD Player to unlock regions. Firmware in most of them turns this able, as industry must sell products in many different regions - and it is expensive to build specific local firmwares. I would recommend for browse in many sites, as some models can be damaged if wrong numbers or sequences are entered. Also check if the TV / Monitor can handle different color systems, as some unlock players will send the signal in other color standards (in Brasil we have region 4 NTSC players, but unlocking region 2 PAL/B will play in PAL/N, for exemple). I had an old local DVD player that was unlocked by myself for years - now it has been retired as have no repair parts. This is not exactly legal, but it is not exactly illegal if you use this on original media just for playback. You pay for the player, you pay for the media, so they need to work. Anyway, use unlock codes at your own risk, knowing thet they must be irreversible. These suggestions are just for not spend money without to need. Meanwhile, here under the equator, we are still waiting, waiting, waiting... It is not their best cover, but I always loved that photo... Maybe the DVD will be available to sell apart from the CD in other countries. Charlotte Church "Prelude" also had an special double edition and both CD / DVD sold apart. Of course this is Warner politics and Aigle maybe have no control on this, but they may pay more attention on fans worldwide. Again, if someone can help me to get this edition, will make a happy person here. "Special edition" always sound "hard to get", and it was exactly what I fear. Now confirmed. Waiting, waiting, waiting...

Now that the album track-listing is official, I have created a new sub-board for it, and hope that discussion of this product will continue there.

You have to wonder who is driving here...I think this must be that the Warner division in Japan is just more interested in the promotion and support for Enya versus North America... Similar as with The Corrs, I learned. Their CDs were distributed by Warner also. Amazon Germany says the CD will be published on November 20th here. www.amazon.de/Very-Best-Enya/dp/B002RSH2QI/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1256848430&sr=8-12Sorry that I've been so late, I had been out of things lately (been in Berlin for 2 weeks, among others). Edit: Posted 2 additional Amazon Germany entries in the other thread.
