Enya Readies Greatest Hits
Enya is to release a new greatest album on November 16th called 'The Very Best Of Enya'. The multi-million selling Irish superstar last greatests hits album was back in 1997 when 'Paint the Sky with Stars' sold over million copies.Quote from: albumvote.co.uk/news/Why, oh why... Fans don't need this but I guess Warner does.

I think you've got it -- Warner needs it. If you look at it, it's been 12 years since PTSWS and 7 years since OT:TC. Warner probably feels it's time for a new Best of.. Unless it includes something special in the way of unreleased tracks or a video included as part of the cd, I don't feel tremendously excited about it.

Eh...I'll make my own greatest hits Unless of course, there are at least two new tracks on this new CD. The nice thing about GH albums is people who only like one or two songs on each of her albums, can usually buy this type of disc and get all the songs they like. Plus, it supplements Warner's and Enya's income with little work. Win/Win But for us fans who already have each main album...it's not that exciting.

The most I can hope for is a new track or two, along the lines of the two new tracks in PTSWS. Or new video material. Otherwise I won't purchase this item.

I agree here with you all.
For fans I think only the inclusion of really new material would make this CD an attraction ...
For casual customers, this would be an ideal idea to have all of the "best" songs together in one form or another.
Time will tell how this might look like.

Oh my! I had a thought--wouldn't the MMTF promo cover (Enya standing by the lake) make the perfect cover for this album? They could even call it My My Time Flies! The Best of Enya...

This is great, hopefully there will be something special included. Does anyone think there will be some promo tours/interviews associated with this greatest hits?

I doubt that there'll be new tracks on it....it will probably include most of the "hits" of the latest three albums. Let's speculate on the songs included: 01. Orinoco Flow 02. Caribbean Blue 03. Book of Days 04. Anywhere Is 05. The Celts 06. Only Time 07. Wild Child 08. Amarantine 09. It's In The Rain 10. Trains and Winter Rains 11. My! My! Time Flies! 12. Watermark 13. Shepherd Moons 14. A Day Without Rain 15. Drifting 16. The Memory of Trees 17. And Winter Came... 18. Boadicea Not in the preferred order but I suspect any of these to appear. Love, Phantas

I have a feeling that LTBM or SAMB will be on there . I wish Miraculum would be included, it's a nice song and a hard copy is appreciated! Water Shows the Hidden Heart is also very likely. But these songs I think will definitely appear: Watermark Orinoco Flow Caribbean Blue Book of Days The Celts Anywhere Is Only If Only Time Wild Child Amarantine Trains and Winter Rains My! My! Time Flies!

But it might be very limited. More common might be TV interviews perhaps, reflecting on her long career.

Time Flies! I doubt Only If... will appear again on a best of album. What usually happens with these (Warner-driven) best of albums is that what you get are usually the best known songs (i.e. the hits) and some songs from the regular albums that were singles as well, whether promotional or not. Though in light of this second best of (disregarding OTTC for now, and Box of Dreams) I suspect the major material will be that of the recent albums. I surely hope WSTHH will be one there, but I sincerely doubt it considering it has not been a single and also it's a major song on the original album....I doubt Enya and co will be very eager to see this one appear on the best of just like that. But that's just my 2 cents. Love, Phantas

I will buy, hope that they remember to include Brasil in this release. Hope to hear some new tracks too... or a video... The only thing I know is that if this comes just a new comma, I will try to have it.
